have some really exciting news to share with you…Northcote Leisure Group have
just announced they will be opening a Café! Nigel Haworth and business partner
Craig Bancroft are delighted to be opening this new concept early June!
A Unique Location So
where do you think the café will be located? You will probably be surprised to
know it will not be on the same grounds of their successful Northcote Manor
(which is home to a Michelin star restaurant, cookery school and luxury rooms)
but in a really unique place…the new refectory space at Cathedral Court, an
£8.5m Cathedral Court Building in Blackburn town centre. Which makes the name ‘Café
Northcote at The Cathedral’ very apt indeed! We love it!
78-cover café with outside space is expected to create approximately 15 jobs
and 2 apprentice posts. Ben King will be General Manager and Andy McCarthy has
been appointed head chef.

A Northcote Twist Nigel
Hawarth will be creating the menu and café offerings, as he does at Northcote
and promises to abide by the same principles.
will offer modern café food with an eclectic feel, always staying loyal to our
local producers and suppliers,” said Nigel.
café will be running a seven-day operation, at first open 7.30am until 5pm
weekdays, Saturday 8am to 6pm and Sundays 10.30am to 4.30pm. It will be
everything you expect from a café, with a Northcote twist, serving breakfast,
lunch, hot drinks and lunches to go.
We can’t wait to see the menu and we
promise you will be the first ones we share it with!
Celebrating the Bee As
well as amazing food, Northcote Café’s interior will be just as impressive.
Designed by Katherine Haworth Interior in conjunction with Cooper8 Consultancy,
the aim is to use sustainable materials with local trade people. Imagine warm honey
and orange tones, together with an impressive three-dimensional honeycomb wall
design behind the service counters.
This theme of the bee will reflect the town’s
economic history. Very cute!
are delighted to finally be working in partnership with Lancashire’s cathedral
