Taste is More Important than Style at Jesmond Dene House 

Located in one of the city's most attractive and engaging neighbourhoods, in an outstanding Grade II listed Arts and Crafts building, Jesmond Dene House is Newcastle's only independently owned boutique hotel. It overlooks the wooded valley of Jesmond Dene, giving it a 'country' feel, yet the city is just 20 minutes away, with cosmopolitan Jesmond on the doorstep. 

It's location may be impressive but it is the restaurant and bar that attracts visitors to the hotel - and with good reason! The 3 AA Rosette restaurant is under guidance of Head Chef, 
Michael Penaluna and it is based on simple but firm principles. Michael and his team use classic techniques with a contemporary approach to produce Modern British dishes that are light, fresh and full of flavour! 

Jesmond Dene House uses the best ingredients - even some from the hotel's beautiful garden - which means that their menu's are always changing. Their ethos is "taste is more important than style" - it is all about ensuring you have a good time! 

Open everyday for breakfast through to dinner, there is a menu to cover all tastes. Whether you are after a quick bite, a family Sunday lunch or indulge in fine dining, there is something for every occasions - even afternoon tea with the girls! On the last Friday of every month, diners can also enjoy live music with their meal.

You can enjoy your food in Jesmond Dene's colourful dining room, with it's beautiful plasterwork ceiling and warm, friendly atmosphere. Or, al fresco dining is an option in the light and leafy Garden Room, with its lovely summer terrace.
