Located on the edge of the beautiful Ribble Valley, surrounded by perfectly manicured gardens, you will find a striking Victorian red brick country house.

Northcote is not only renowned for its picture perfect location but also for its award-winning, Michelin Star restaurant. Elegance, sophistication and style – from here you can enjoy the amazing views of Northcote’s manicured grounds and Ribble Valley, just off to the distance.

The menus are always changing, created by Nigel Howarth, the wine carefully selected by Craig Bancroft and the kitchen is looked after by executive head chef, Lisa Goodwin-Allen and head chef, Aled Williams.

Under Nigel’s direction, the Northcote kitchen has always had deep loyalty to artisan producers and the great larder of Lancashire, with seasonality at its heart.

The ultimate aim is to delight guests with flavours that are memorable, presentation that is sensational and overall experience that lingers forever.

From Garden to Plate
The gardens are an integral part of life at Northcote. Not only are they a place for guests to relax and enjoy but they are working gardens too – producing as much as possible for the menus to reflect the seasons.

The gardens supply a variety of produce for the Northcote restaurant, including organic salads, vegetables, herbs and fruit. Watch out for these on the menu!

This is an interactive experience, giving you insight into the action and theatrics of a Michelin Star kitchen. With uninterrupted views of the kitchen, you can witness the vibrancy, drama and skills required to make your menu.

You can even touch, feel and smell the heart and soul of the Northcote kitchen. Be prepared to be wowed by the precision and energy of the Northcote brigade.

Cookery School
Northcote opened its very own cookery school in 2014. Designed for home cooks, it offers a variety of cookery courses, from pasta making to special summer classes. There is a class for any ability!

Sundays and Bank holidays are special days at Northcote. It’s all about relaxation, escaping from the stress of everyday life and being indulgent.  

Every Sunday and Bank Holiday, Nigel selects premium rare breed beef, dry aged for a minimum of 30 days to lock in the natural flavours. It’s amazing!
