Down to Earth Pub that offers Something Else
Located on the edge of the beautiful Chatsworth Estate in the pretty village of Baslow, sits Rowley’s Restaurant and Bar. Once a blacksmiths, its stone-built façade reflecting its historic past. However, inside tells a different story, all purple and lime contemporary shades, complete with a terrace and friendly service. On the ground floor, take in the relaxed atmosphere, while upstairs boasts a more intimate space. Rowley’s offers three contemporary dining areas, ideal for lunch, supper or dinner.
Under the ownership of Max and Susan Fischer and Rupert Rowley, the team at Rowley’s has a real passion for fresh, seasonal food using the ingredients, which is evident in their heart and satisfying dishes.
Adam Harper, formerly Junior Sous Chef at Fischer’s Baslow Hall, has recently taken the helm in Rowley’s kitchen. Adam has a fine dining background and is certainly looking to wow diners in a different way at Rowley’s, with something more down to earth. He uses the best local produce with simple presentation and an emphasis on bringing out the flavour of individual ingredients.
Together with Rupert, menus have been redesigned. They will change with the seasons and customers will always be treated to ‘Specials’. Expect to see new dishes to the menu, such as Homemade Black Pudding, Rump of Derbyshire Lamb, and Rowley’s Cherry Bakewell. However, favourites such as the Homemade Burger and Fish and
Chips will be a constant! Check out the latest Dinner menu below.
The Rowley’s Set Lunch Menu is available Tuesday to Saturday and offers excellent value. The Fish Friday supper is also popular with locals and visitors and Rowley’s Sunday Lunch is an ideal opportunity to relax with friends and family. Steak night takes place on Wednesday evenings, serving locally farmed beef, chargrilled to your liking!
Rowley’s also cater for private parties and family celebrations, with a variety of menu options available to suit the occasion. You can now enjoy an elegant Afternoon Tea, available Tuesday to Saturday, where you can indulge in speciality teas, dainty handmade sandwiches and delicious cakes! Find contact and booking information below.
